Rick Myers joined Career Systems Development Corp in March of 2015 and currently serves as Executive Director of Operations for the Guthrie Job Corps Center located in Guthrie, Oklahoma; the San Diego Job Corps Center located in San Diego, California; and the Laredo Job Corps Center located Laredo, Texas. Mr. Myers provides corporate oversight as needed to include operation and programmatic support; finance management controls; and performance measures and outcomes; but most importantly, adherence to the company’s core value principles.
Mr. Myers came to C.S.D. as the former Executive Vice-President of Youth Services for ResCare, Inc. He held that position from January 2008 to May of 2014. Mr. Myers had oversight responsibility for 17 Job Corps centers and 8 subcontracted Job Corps contracts. His Division of Youth Services included Foster Care facilities, charter schools, special needs schools for youth, community colleges, and youth programs funded by the Department of Corrections for youth services.

Mr. Myers worked for multiple Job Corps operations dating back to 1977 when he started his Job Corps career at Blue Ridge Job Corps Center in Marion, Virginia. Thus, Mr. Myers began his 40 years of Job Corps work. Mr. Myers has worked for many different Job Corps contractors over the years. Mr. Myers’ Job Corps career path afforded him the opportunity to work in a variety of positions during those years in Job Corps to include Residential Advisor, Counselor, Dorm Manager, Counseling Manager, Center Standards Officer (C.S.O.), Deputy Director, and Center Director.
Mr. Myers attended the University of Virginia at Wise, where he received a degree in Social Work, with a Minor in Behavioral Psychology in 1976. Mr. Myers has participated in and completed numerous executive level leadership and development programs over the years. Mr. Myers was selected as Sam Walton’s Businessman of the Year in 1999 and he currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for Workforce Oklahoma. He has been honored with a “life time” membership on the Board of Directors for the Red Cross. Mr. Myers has given many years of service to his community and the disadvantaged youth of our country.
